Sussex Fencing School

Fencing will help you become as fast as a cat, as graceful as a dancer and as fit as a fiddle, all while having bags of fun!

The Olympic sport of fencing is ideal for kids as it builds speed, balance, co-ordination, problem solving skills, self control and confidence. This combines with a strong code of sporting behaviour.

Boys and girls can compete on equal terms against each other – guile, precision and technique are much more important than brute force.

Fencing is a highly athletic sport that can burn up to 800 calories an hour but it’s as taxing on the mind as the body – it’s often likened to high speed chess.

Above all it’s fun. If your kid dreams of being Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean, Zorro or any sword-toting hero or heroine this is the sport for them.

So come on down and discover this exciting sport. And who knows? You could be taking your first steps towards Olympic glory!

Contact us on to book and be sure of a place. Otherwise, just turn up on a Wednesday!

So you’re thinking of starting fencing! Good choice!
